Camping Trip Before Time

Here is a picture Jeremy took of me while we were camping at Boca de Quadra. This was our final camping trip before baby Time arrives - if that day ever comes!!!

While camping Kenai discovered a new critter to chase. However, I think this critter got the best of her. She was very embarrassed and barely let me take her picture.

More Time...

We had another doctor’s appointment today and she thinks it will be awhile longer. It doesn't seem as things have really progressed much. Baby Time likes it inside and doesn't want to come out just yet.

So we will give baby Time some more time, I can tell this child is going to be stubborn just like his/her dad, hehe. I have another doctor’s appointment on Friday where we will do a stress test and ultrasound to see how baby is doing. I also have the option of inducing on Friday, which I really don't want to do.

So pray baby Time will get a move on. Tomorrow, Wednesday, is a full moon, which supposedly changes the barometric pressure and is known to send women in to labor! :)

Thankfully the Lord has given me patience. I can’t wait to meet my baby but thankfully I am not too anxious or uncomfortable just yet.

Time is Taking More Time

Well today is the official due date and I am sad to say no baby yet.

We are trying though...

This morning Jeremy, my mom, the girls & I went out fishing. We didn't catch any fish ;( but we did see a huge gray whale only a few feet from the boat. I told my mom she needed to pay us $200 for the whale watching excursion. Especially since she didn't catch any fish for my freezer.

On the way back I drove the boat and hit every huge wave and wake I could find. But to my dismay I am still prego and am not having any major contractions. Oh well Time will come when he/she is ready I suppose.

P.S. I have pictures of our fishing trip but for some reason my camera won't unload them on to my computer. Hopefully I can get it to cooperate soon!

The Time Baum Countdown!!

Caren Cooke & I are due the same day - Sept. 22!!
18 days (Sept. 22) until Time Baum is due.
We are getting really excited to meet our baby.

I figure with only 18 days (or less hopefully) left we should do a baby poll!

Jeremy is sure it is a boy and I have really have no idea.
For his sake, I hope it is a boy but either way I will be happy!

The names we have chosen are:

Elijah Dwight - Dwight is Jeremy's dad's name.

Hannah Noelle

What do you think Time will be and how big are you guessing??

Blessings!

Last Saturday, we were blessed by a bunch of ladies from church. Our house was a disgusting disaster and they showed up to help me clean. It was SOOOO amazing. These wonderful ladies scrubbed my walls, ceilings, toilets, kitchen cupboards, fridge, stove, floors, showers and more. Plus they vacuumed & cleaned my carpet!

It would have taken me at least 3 weeks to get everything done but thank the Lord they completed it all in 5 hours! I am so grateful and thankful for the body of Christ and for such great friends!

Here are a couple pictures of these heroes and our house! Don't you love the orange counters and dark walls!

House Closed?

Well we aren't sure if the house has closed yet but we signed all the papers last Wednesday. We were just waiting on the owner to find some paperwork. I guess the house is in the name of his trust, not his name and he didn't have proof he could actually sell it.

They gave us a key last Wednesday and told us we could start remodeling the place too. The key turned out to be to the owner's house, :) which is right next door. He lives in Palm Springs & only comes up in the summer. Then on Thursday Jeremy started ripping down walls, beams and more. Then this week I started ripping up carpet and painting. So we hope we own the place!

Saturday morning I have asked come ladies from church to come over and help me clean it. (I hate having to ask for help and not being able to do it all myself but I think God is teaching me to let go of some control!) The place has been a rental for quite some time and the last tenants were evicted. So they left a lot of stuff (bar of soap & body hair in the shower even ) and did not clean- at all. Plus, the house has been vacant for several months so the spiders and dust mites have made it their home. Talk about GROSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

I will try to get some pictures up soon. Jeremy leaves on the 10th for the entire month of May so I will have plenty of time to blog then! Although that is about the time I start back up with the cruise ships  YIPEEE

Take care & God Bless!

Baum's House Hunt

Well since hunting season is over and fishing season hasn't begun the Baum's decided to embark on a new type of hunting...House Hunting!

Let me tell you, this is SCARIER then any bear hunt. The houses in Ketchikan leave a LOT to be desired and you never know what kind of $200,000+ pit you are going to walk into.

Currently, we have settled on one house in particular. It is one of the $200,000 dollar pits I previously mentioned. However, this house does have some major potential. It is located off S. Point Higgins and is on the beach! There is a great view of Guard Island and the beach out front is really nice. That is the major selling point.

The house was built in 1979, the year Kristi was born. The upstairs in all original 70s decor. The walls and ceiling are DARK brown rough cut wood. The kitchen has dark brown cabinets and sweet orange laminate countertops. All we need to do is add some green shag carpet and a disco ball and we are grooving!

The ad for the house and a picture can be seen at the link below. But beware the ad is mostly false. It says the house has two heat sources but neither of them work!! Something that will get fixed before we sign on the line. Also, updates have NOT been done throughout the house, only a few downstairs.

Let us know what you think? We are planning a bbq on the beach shortly after we move in!

Time Baum's 1st picture

Time is very photogenic. When the picture was taken the baby was dancing all around. It was really neat.
Jeremy thinks "he", the baby, looks just like him.

What do you think?
