Hannah Loves Flowers

Grandpa and Grandma Prentice sent us some flowers in celebration of Hannah's birth. Well little Hannah loves them. She sits in her chair admiring them and even talking to them.

I think she shows great potential in gardening, floristry or maybe even landscape architecture :) hehe

Parenthood...

Hannah is 9 days old and we are settling into and loving parenthood. So far we have just been in awh of our little sweet pea, we love to watch her sleep, coo, eat and just wiggle around. She is so much fun, except when she wants to chat away at 3 am :) But even then we find ourselves awake talking to her, hehe.

Last night she had a little fit and mom didn't get much sleep. So this morning after her breakfast I gave her to daddy and mommy went back to bed. When I woke up Jeremy had Hannah zipped in his coat in the front pack and he and Hannah were outside working on the backhoe!!!! :) She was sound asleep and boy was daddy proud! :) I couldn't help but laugh and thank God for such a good husband. He sure loves his little girl.

On Thursday we had her first doctors appointment. The doctor was impressed with how well she is doing. She has already gained her birth weight back plus 1 oz. She also has grown half an inch. CRAZY!!! So as of Thursday she weighed 8lbs 3 oz and was 20.5 inches. But I think she weighs a lot more than that now. She is turning into a little chunky monkey.

Hannah has gotten both Jeremy & I's bad eating habits. She LOVES to eat like her mom (boy does she get VERY mad when she can't eat) and she eats really fast like her dad. Luckily she has gotten herself on a pretty good schedule so we can still have a life. She likes to eat at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock! It is funny because I here her wake up and I think humm must be about oh 12:00 and sure enough it is.

We sure do love parenthood and couldn't be happier with our little blessing!

Update on Time...

UPDATE: The lady who was supposed to go in this morning (Friday) to be induced showed up late and has thrown our whole schedule off. So...induction is postponed one more day...UGH...The good news is we get to sleep in our own bed for one more night.

We had yet another dr.'s appointment today and I was only dilated to a 2 :( I am starting to think we shouldn't have nicked name the baby Time because she/he is living up to the name. I can see it now, Time will be 35 and still living at home! :) hehe

Anyway... the eviction notice is coming!

Tomorrow (Friday) night we go to the hospital to start the inducement process. I am praying we will be holding our baby by Saturday but the doctor warned me this could be a 3+ day process. So please pray for us. Pray God gives me strength and the right attitude to endure and pray he gives my husband just what he needs. Jeremy isn't one to sit still for 3+ days so this will be a challenge for him too.

Since this could take awhile don't get anxious if you haven't heard from us until Monday or Tuesday!

UGH!!!

Well I just had yet another doctor's appointment. I am still only dilated to a 1. Nothing is really happening. Baby Time does NOT want to come out. They are now talking about inducing me on Saturday...

Pray this baby comes soon I am starting to get frustrated...

Baby Time's Room

My friend Gina came over a couple weeks ago and helped me paint Time's room (more pictures to come). What a blessing her help and inspiration was.

Then Jeremy put together baby Time's crib. That was a chore. I first had to convince Jeremy that, NO the baby can not sleep with the dogs on the dog bed. I had to explain, Yes the baby does need a crib he/she can not sleep on a toddler bed yet. I also remind him this is his child and we definitely need something similar to a cage to contain him/her for at least the first 2 years and NO a dog kennel will not due. Thankfully he heard the voice of reason and broke down and bought a crib.
