Baking Bread

Last week was spring break so I decided to make bread, minus the bread maker. Although I did have a helper...
The bread turned out great and I am making it again today! It makes three loaves so you don't have to constantly be making bread. I took 1/2 of one loaf to make a pizza and the other 1/2 to make a calzone!
Here is the recipe! Simple Whole Wheat

Looks fantastic Kristi! One of my favorite yeasted wheat bread recipes is also on allrecipes.com - the "Wholesome Wheat Bread"
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Wholesome-Wheat-Bread/Detail.aspx?prop31=1
it makes the best dinner rolls!

Let me know how that sourdough goes! :)

Best,
Sarah

Looks like a good recipe! I'm going to try it. A calzone sounds like a great idea too!

Dear Familly Great job on the greenhouse son. Memories of your grandma come to mind as I view the pictures of Hanny helping daddy plant produce for the garden! your dad is in the warm rain planting plants himself today! We use the florida room as our greenhouse. grandpa is sure putting his new shoulder to work hauling bags of cow manure! Using this fertilizer in bottom of pots and when planting roses. Grandpa wants you to know he is bring an orchid for you. Thinks it will do well in the house! Still waiting on my surgery as insurance doesnt want to approve new method of doing a lumbar fusion. I have to wait on these doctors now through spring break. Pray for me to get resolution for my need to be free of leg and back pain.love grandma

Dear "Daughter",

Asked grandpa to get me some whole wheat flour so I could try your recipe. I haven"t had good experience with making bread by hand before but willing to try again. Looks very good. Does this recipe require much kneading? Love grandma
